If you recall, this MacBook Pro had a 13.3-inch 1280×800 display, a 2.5 GHz Dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 500GB hard drive, the infamous SuperDrive DVD/CD combo, and Intel HD Graphics 4000. Why this didn’t occur sooner is beyond me, but it’s likely due to Apple holding off until the debut of the new, $1499 13-inch MBP similar to its big brother who has a Touch Bar and Touch ID. This laptop has sat in the company’s MacBook lineup for 4 years and is now at the end of its lifespan. With the launch of Apple’s new MacBook Pros, the company is officially discontinuing the outdated 13-inch MacBook Pro with optical drive.
